The first trailer for Dune: Part Two is a thrilling sandworm ride

After an all too short tease yesterday, the first trailer for Dune: part two is here, and most importantly it features a sandworm – you even get to see Paul Atreides riding the beast. Although it’s nothing special.

The sequel is an adaptation of the second half of the Dune story, which isn’t too surprising since the first movie was dubbed Dune: part one and ended rather abruptly. It also expands the impressive cast to include Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, and Léa Seydoux, most of whom get some screen time in the new trailer. They join returning cast members such as Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, who luckily seems to have a much bigger role this time around. Denis Villeneuve returns as director and the movie was filmed for IMAX this time.

Here’s a new poster too:

Dune: part two is one of the rare releases that has had its date pushed back; originally scheduled for a theater debut on November 23, it now premieres on November 3.

Meanwhile, I think Timothée Chalamet put it best:
