Street Fighter 6 gets a new demo that’s available now on PlayStation

Capcom announced during the Street Fighter 6 Showcase that a demo of the game is now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, allowing players to warm up before the full game’s release in just over a month. The demo will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC on April 26th.

Players can try out part of the World Tour single-player mode in the demo and create a custom avatar for the mode, which can be transferred to the full game as long as they play on the same platform. The World Tour mode will have RPG elements such as skill points and a skill tree. Players can take their avatars into online “Avatar Battles”.

Street Fighter 6 will introduce four new characters in its first year: Rashid (from Street Fighter V) in summer 2023, A.K.I. in autumn 2023, Ed (first playable in Street Fighter V) in early winter 2024, and Akuma in spring 2024. The game also boasts new accessibility features such as an auto-attack control scheme, and the Battle Damage feature allows characters to show wear and tear during fights but only in certain offline modes.
